DR. RAY (GUARENDI) FEATURED IN DIOCESAN MEN'S DAY OF RENEWAL

            For the fifth consecutive year, the Diocese of Steubenville is sponsoring a Men's Day of Renewal on Saturday, March 22 from 9 am to 3:30 pm (optional Chaplet of Divine Mercy at 8:30 am) at St. Mary’s Church in St. Clairsville off of I-70 Exit 216.  The patron of the Conference is St. Joseph, a model of a true man of God, to whom we depend upon for its success.

 

            To complement the Mass presided by Bishop Montforton and Penance Service the featured speaker is Dr. Ray Guarendi, a popular, and entertaining speaker around the country to both secular and Catholic audiences.  He will speak on the topic:  “Become better connected with your wife and kids with Christ as a beacon of light for the family to follow now and in the future.        

 

As a father of 10 and a clinical psychologist, consultant, author, dynamic public speaker around the country and national radio and television host, Dr. Ray specializes in families.  He has a unique gift of blending deep insights, practical wisdom, and wit while entertaining the audience.  He will help the men to become better husbands and fathers in resolving problems and fulfilling their responsibilities as the spiritual leaders of their families now and in the future.  

 

Look for the January 31 issue of the Register for a copy of the Men’s Day of Renewal brochure.  The Steering Committee would like to thank the men for their sacrificial participation in past conferences and especially the pastors and parishes representatives (more are needed), who are critical for bulletin announcements & inserts, word of mouth one-on-one promotion, organizing car pools, and the ultimate success of the Men's Day of Renewal.

 

Dr. Ray has a weekly international show on EWTN television, “Living Right with Dr. Ray” assisted by Fr. Larry Richards, last year’s speaker.  He also has a daily national radio program, “The Doctor is In” on Sirius Radio Channel 160 as well as on EWTN Radio and its affiliates across the country…….88.7 FM Steubenville, 90.7 FM Martin’s Ferry, 89.5 FM Youngstown, 820 AM Columbus, 1060 Canton/Cleveland, etc.

 

            Being in the northern end of our far flung diocese, this will be for many a mini-pilgrimage of a as many as four hours……a real Lenten sacrifice of early rising and a long trip with great fellowship in a van or bus as the men pray together, discuss the talks and other events of the Conference, and deepen friendships.
